Man Hit In Nose With Chair During Domestic Confrontation
Lawrenceburg law enforcement officers met with the victim of a domestic altercation Wednesday morning who reported his boyfriend had struck him across the nose with a chair.
Officers responded to Super Stop #2 shortly after 6:00 a.m. where employees reported a man who had come there bleeding from the nose, told them he had been assaulted during a domestic dispute.
Officers report the man left prior to their arrival. They were able to locate him, however, at his North Locust Avenue home. The victim explained he had been in the car earlier, listening to music, when he accidentally knocked the front window off track.
The victim said his boyfriend became angry about the incident, picked up a chair, and struck him over the nose. Although the boyfriend denied having struck him with the chair, a witness was able to corroborate the victim’s statement.
As a result the boyfriend, Tony Wayne Hunt, 40, was placed under arrest on one count of aggravated domestic assault and transported to the Lawrence County Jail. He is scheduled to answer the charge through Lawrence County General Sessions Court on September 2, 2010.
